National anti-Sikh hate observatory concept

See the pattern. Document the harm. Push for action.

A public evidence platform connecting national research, historical context, current incidents, community reporting and policy accountability across Canada.

National snapshot

What the WSO research found.

The website keeps the full report as the primary source while turning major findings into a public-facing evidence experience.

65%narrative finding: verbal harassment
16%reported physical violence
26%+reported employment discrimination
65%significant mental-health impact
Latest incidents & developments

Keep the evidence current.

Current developments should be published with careful wording that separates a reported incident, an investigation, a confirmed hate motive and a court finding.

V5 editorial rule: a story can enter the current feed before hate motivation is established, but its verification status must say exactly what the available source supports.
Automated monitoring desk

V5 can accept editor-approved stories from the included Hostinger monitoring backend. Discovery is automated; publication remains human-controlled.

National incident explorer

A geographic view of the evidence.

Markers indicate the city or region associated with records loaded into this review build. The national canvas is schematic, marker positions are approximate, and the number of markers is not a prevalence estimate.

Data explorer

See the scale from different angles.

Switch between forms of hate, visibility, reporting, impact, intersectional findings, institutional trust and political-expression data.

Connect the dots

From sources of hate to real-world harm.

The WSO report describes overlapping sources and manifestations rather than one single pathway.

Historical continuity

A pattern that changes form over time.

The report places contemporary hate in a longer history of exclusion, racial violence, religious-accommodation battles, stereotyping and transnational repression.

Living evidence base

A national incident registry with case files.

V4 adds dedicated offline case pages so each record can preserve sources, status changes and updates rather than existing as a one-line database entry.

Government & institutional accountability

Turn recommendations into a public tracker.

This prototype intentionally does not claim implementation status without source review. It shows the framework a launch version can use after WSO verifies each institution’s actions.

Private editorial workflow preview

What WSO staff could manage behind the site.

This is a local-only interface demonstration, not authentication or a real backend.

Community intake queue

Locally saved reports from the public incident form appear here for this prototype.

News drafts

Add or remove local preview items. A live system would use authenticated editorial roles.
